At R.A.D. Camps, we are passionate about creating unforgettable outdoor experiences for children. Through unstructured play and exploration, we provide the perfect environment for kids to grow, learn, and thrive in nature’s embrace.

Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of Bend, Oregon, our programs are designed to let kids roam free, discover their surroundings, and build confidence through self-directed adventures. Whether they’re hiking through lush forests, engaging in creative outdoor play, or connecting with new friends, every moment is filled with discovery and fun.

FAQs

  • We need 3 items from you:

    • Current tax forms that list your income (with SSN blacked out)

    • A brief scholarship request letter, with an explanation of your needs

    • Our financial assistance form, with your preferred program and amount of trips selected

  • Our average timeline for responding to scholarship applications is 1-2 weeks from the date received.

    We appreciate your patience!

  • You are welcome to request as many RAD Camps days as you like. Scholarship trips are awarded based on our sponsor funding and how many trips we have already allocated to families.

  • You only need to submit your application once per summer.

    However, if you get through your allocated scholarship trips and would like to request more, please email us and ask! If we have funds available, we are happy to reconsider.

  • Once you are awarded trips, a RAD team member will reach out via email and ask what dates you would prefer for camp. We are usually able to assign campers to any date they would like, but specific locations are trickier. You are welcome to list specific places you would like your child to visit, but there is no guarantee we have room in the van. We will get you signed up and let you know your camp dates!
